What is rooibos?

You must be wondering how this trending “miracle plant” you’ve been hearing from your friends and health mentors is correctly spelled.  You must have been the reason why you landed on this page. Actually, it’s not “Roobois” but instead “Rooibos”. And guess what, the way you should say it is another story. So if you are wondering what is rooibos then just keep on reading!

Rooibos is a plant belonging to the bean or legume family and has white flowers and broom-like structure of leaves. If you happen to be in Western Cape Province of South Africa where it originated and can only be found, you might probably think of it as a mere grass in that harsh part of the earth. Rooibos has become flexible and completely adapted to the unforgiving climatic changes thus supporting the lives of many locals both economically and geologically.
