Rooibos Tea or most commonly known to be called as ‘red tea’ is a wonderful tea made up from Rooibos that can be found abundantly in the province of South Africa. The bush where it is made has a linear growth structure and has its amazing needle-like leaves.

The Rooibos Tea is made processed through the tea processes. Its leaves are oxidized or fermented and makes it to be reddish-brown in color. Also, the process makes its flavor more aromatic. It also has a green counterpart that is made in the same processes of making green teas. This one does not go through fermentation so it saves its malty and slightly grassy flavor. Consumer may have it in a variety of preparation like adding of milk, lemon, sugar and honey for a different twist in taste.

Caffeine is a substance that can harm one who’s consuming it. Various studies showed that every level of caffeine intake has its consequences.  Some examples of products containing caffeine are coffee, tea or cola beverages. Caffeine has no nutritional value and therefore caffeine containing beverages cannot reinstate nutritional food or drinks. Caffeine may cause irregular heartbeats and high blood pressure in people who have these kinds of sick.

Is Caffeine Present In Rooibos?

NO. Rooibos tea is studied and proven to be caffeine-free. We all know that caffeine can bring a lot of side effects in one’s body. But do not worry because Rooibos tea is 100% free from caffeine as found in several teas. It also differs from other tea in such a way that this has low ‘tannins’ level that cause stomach and gastrointestinal pain. Pregnant taking caffeine containing foods or beverages may affect her child’s development.

What are then the Goodness’ of Rooibos Tea?

Unlike other teas, rooibos tea is safe to drink because it came from naturally from the rooibos plant and is processed in a natural way. And since it is not made in a tea plant unlike black and green teas, it is also free from side effects such as insomnia and sleep disturbances.

Due to the benefits gained, rooibos tea became more popular in consumers. People became more wanting to rooibos tea because it has high level antioxidants such as nothofagin, aspalathin, flavanols, flavones, flavanones and dihydrochalcones. With its substances possessed, it is professed to help you in indigestion, allergies, stomach ailments, colic, heartburn and nervous tension.

Knowing these facts about Rooibos tea, it is undeniably capable of giving you the best relaxation and good health as well.
